The annual Sea & Sand Festival, Folly’s longest-running festival, returns to Folly Beach with a weekend full of family-friendly events.

From the Folly River Park straight to the beach, the Sea & Sand weekend will include an artisan street closure event, as well as some healthy competition in the sand on Sunday.

Center Street will be closed* on "Salty Saturday" and taken over by Folly vendors, restaurants, and bars. The street closure event will take place from 10am – 4pm and will feature local bands, 80+ Folly art, craft, and fashion vendors, and a robust kid area. Sunday will feature a Sand Sculpting Competition contest starting at 9am beachfront of the Tides.

The streets will close at 7am and reopen at 5;30pm but are open to the public from 10am - 4pm. Admission is $10 in advance [and $15 at the door], but is free for Folly residents (must show valid drivers license) and kids 12 and under are free.

Sand Sculpting Competition: The Sand Sculpting Competition is being moved to Sunday September 29, 2024 as part of the Mermaids & Mateys event once the beach renourishment is complete.

Live Music: Sea & Sand will have two (3) stages showcasing Folly musicians. Additional details regarding the lineup coming soon!

Kids Area: Check out the Sea and Sand Circus by Good Clean Fun with aerial performers, tall jugglers, face painters, spin art, bubble therapy, sand crafts and more! There will also be free inflatables for games and jumping fun!

No Animals, Coolers, Bikes, Skateboards, Scooters, or Backpacks (except diaper bags). No Outside Beverages. Reusable cups are permitted but must be empty upon entering and exiting the event. Rain or shine event. Service dogs are allowed with proper documentation.

*The streets will close to auto traffic at 7am and reopen at 6:00pm.
