2nd Annual Slickhead Slam

Tournament dates: September 15th-October 15th & October 16th-November 15th

Weigh In Stations:  Cordrays - Ravenel SC, & Great Outdoors - Bowman, SC

$50 Entry Fee: Gets you in the tournament, a 1yr membership to QDMA, NOMAD Event T-shirt & hat

There will be multiple winners!  Each processor will award the heaviest doe from each month & a weekly winner drawn at random from those that weigh-in a doe.  Both processors will have weekly drawings.  The grand prize rifle, ladies, and youth prize will be drawn from all entries and only be drawn 1 time (not for each processor).

Contest Rules

1.    All deer must be killed legally, in fair chase, and in South Carolina. Please visit the SCDNR website http://dnr.sc.gov/hunting.html with any questions.
2.    All deer must be properly tagged & tags must match the registered hunter. No Depredation Tags are allowed. Deer Quota Program tags are allowed, but must also have a personal tag for purposes of this contest.
3.    Registration & entry fees must be submitted the day prior to entering a deer in the contest.
4.    There are TWO processor locations this year.  Entrants may weigh in at either processor.  The location where you weigh in is the location you will be entered for weekly drawings and Big Doe contest weight.  Should you harvest another deer later in the contest you are still eligible to choose either location for weigh in.  All entries must be weighed & processed at either Cordray’s Processing in Ravenel, SC or Great Outdoors in Bowman, SC. ***Deer must arrive at the processor in sanitary condition. Any deer rejected for health reasons will not be eligible for entry.  Please follow COVID-19 guidelines and wear a mask when weighing in!***
5.    All entries must be posted (the same day as the kill) on Lowcountry QDMA social sites (Facebook &/or Instagram). See #7 below for those not on Facebook or Instagram.
6.    All entries must contain the following in the social media post: Name of the hunter, Harvest date, county where the deer was killed, processor where the deer was weighed in, photo of the hunter with the animal at the scale (make sure weight is visible!) legible photo of the tag on the deer, and the hashtags #slickheadslam2020, #LowcountryQDMA, #NomadOutdoor, and the combo for your processor (#cordrays #psamtp) OR (#greatoutdoors #psasummerville) - See our media for examples!
7.    If the participant does not have a social media account, the above information should be sent via text or email(same day as the kill) to lowcountryqdma@gmail.com or 843-509-1535 (Ashley Smith)
8.    Every deer entered(weighed & posted) stays in the pool for all weekly drawings through the end of the tournament. More deer entered = greater chances to win!
9.    If there is a tie for either of the Big Doe contests, the tie-breaker shall be the 1st one weighed-in.
10.    All registrants are eligible for the Pre-Tournament Drawings as well as the Grand Prize Drawing. The Youth Drawing will be for kids 17 and under.  Youth and Ladies will be included in all Pre-Tournament drawings and the Rifle Grand Prize Drawing.
