The Miss Wando 2018 pageant will be on March 10 at 6 p.m.; doors will open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
This year's theme is "What Makes You Brave?" inspired by Sara Bareilles' hit "Brave." There are 14 girls competing in this year's pageant (by order): Larsyn Vandermast, Lauren Surface, Abigail Reynolds, Rhiannon Gibson, Lily Baer, Julia Jellema, Jayla Moss, Gabrielle Kohler, Brianna Martin, Faith Mitchell, Shantell Graddick, Emily Coker, Emily Roudebush, and Macy Lasater.
The evening will be hosted by the reigning Miss Wando, Jasmine White , a sophomore at the University of South Carolina. The girls are judged on their resume, opening statement, talent, poise, and question and answer. Talents range from dramatic monologues to singing and dancing to piano playing.
